Charlotte, Dubbed the Queen City

Charlotte is built between two creeks and on the gunnies of the St Catherine's and Rudisill gold mines.  It is a major hub in North Carolina, and has four major cities within an easy drive. The capital of North Carolina, Raleigh is a short two hour drive.   Charlotte is home to many colleges and universities, most notably University of North Carolina.  UNC is the city's largest university, located in northeast Charlotte.  This area is home to University Research Park, with a 3,200 acre research and corporate park, referred to as University City. 

Southeast Charlotte provides golf communities, luxury developments, religious centers and private schools.  With Charlottes massive growth, undeveloped land has become scarce.  As a result, many communities have expanded into Weddington, Waxhaw and Ballantyne.
